Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some things to know about your child's participation in our program:
Shin guards covered by socks are required. Cleats are not mandatory but recommended
No jewelry of any kind is permitted (earrings, watches, etc.)
Headbands may not be made of any hard material. No sunglasses.
No casts, splints, or braces of any kind are allowed
Who can register to play in the Selinsgrove AYSO?
AYSO philosophy #3: Open Registration. Simply put, anyone from anywhere is welcome to sign up for our program.
I have registered my child and it shows that he/she is waitlisted. What does this mean?
ALL children upon registering will be "waitlisted" initially until we have a verified minimum number of players to host a team in that age group. Once the minimum number has been met and we have enough kids to host a team, you will be notified via e-mail that your child has been removed from the waitlist and the FULL balance will be due. You will have 3 days to either pay the balance in full or contact us. Otherwise your place in line may be lost.
Can I request that two siblings in the same age group play together?
Guardians may request this during registration, provided each child is in the same division.
Where and when are the games played?
All home games will be held on SATURDAYS at Kids Grove (6U 8U 10U) and next door on Industrial Park Rd (10U 12U). The physical address is 247 Sassafras St Selinsgrove Pa. You may have away games at some or all of these regions: Warrior Run, Northumberland, Mifflinburg, Milton, Lewisburg, Midd-West and Line Mountain. Travel to these regions should be expected. ** NOTE- Schoolyard/Playground (5U) does NOT play games and therefore DO NOT travel.
When are Practices?
Practice days are Monday through Friday depending on your coach's availability. Practice days and times cannot and will not be announced until the volunteer coach has successfully passed all of the required clearances to coach and rosters have been finalized.
Can my child play in an older division?
Guardians may request that their child play-up at the next higher age group. This request must be made each year and will be considered on an individual basis. All requests should meet the following criteria:
The player's DOB misses the cutoff for the next division by five months or less at the start of the fall season.
The player possesses advanced skills and a maturity level commensurate with the next division.
Moving the player up does not handicap or overload any team rosters within either division.
Each play-up request must be submitted through aysoselinsgrovegmail.com before the end of the registration date.
Can I request a particular coach?
No. Players are assigned to teams in an effort to create balanced teams throughout Selinsgrove AYSO.

Are there any fundraisers?

What are the costs?
The registration fee consists of a $35 division fee and a $25 mandatory AYSO membership fee. The registration fee does NOT include a uniform.
A "uniform kit" consists of one blue jersey, one pair of red shorts and one pair of blue socks. The costs of the jersey kit is $30.00. (This price may need to go up due to rising prices)
Can I get a refund?
REFUND POLICY: Once the registration payment has been made, there is no refund. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask.
